Rev. Hugh Smith, Sr.

Central Ga District Superintendent

              

Superintendent Hugh Smith Sr. has been preaching for over forty years. He was saved at fifteen and called to preach shortly afterwards. He holds a bachelor and master's degree in Ministry, and a Doctorate in Theology. Have been active in ministry all of his life since conversion, he has served the Congregational Holiness Church for the Kingdom of God as Pastor, Evangelist, Home Mission board member, Christian Education board member, District Presbytery Board, General Committee member, and as Superintendent of the Central Georgia and West Carolina Districts. Also Rev. Smith has served as President of the Ministerial Association in Lincolnton Georgia. Other positions he has served in include Chairman of Heritage Pregnancy Center, Chairman of Battered Women, Chaplain Director of several hospitals. Rev. Smith has preached both nationally and internationally as featured speaker in camp meetings, seminars, youth camps, and other events.

He and his wife, Judy have been married for forty-one years. They have 3 children. One daughter, Rebecca and her husband have 2 children and they reside in LaGrange, Georgia. Their son, Hugh Jr. and his wife have two children and live in Hampton, Georgia. Billy, their youngest son and wife have  four children and reside in Zebulon, Georgia.
